I bought this sub with a PRS-D1200M amplifier for Christmas. If I in my car all I did was first the old Pioneer system, you take the sub out of the box, then sub the new implant, and hook it all up. The result? The cone moved barely turned up with everything. Very disappointing. Since there are no “real” sound business and everyone I know are SVC Subs, I unhooked everything, packed up everything and put the old system again in.Beim [surfing. . . ], I found out that I incorrectly wired the sub, it was just always around 100-200 watts. So I hung it all out again and again and it was hard hit. But wait. . . It sounds like shit. Everything is muted. One could actually hear and to say that the field was too small and that there is no room for air to bewegen.Nachdem already built a box, I knew what I needed. All I really had to do was to define the dimensions and the fine tuning of the inner volume, then build away. I bought a sheet of MDF cut, silicone, wood glue, some PVC pipe for a port, cushion filling (Crutchfield) is proposed, and carpet replacement (for looks). This time I went for a ported box, I did not have the money for an additional sheet of Lexan. When finished, I bolted in stuffing box, into sub, sub and amp hooked up in the car, then turned on everything. What a difference! Not more subdued and the subgroups with a new brutality. Now I do not even turn it on up to 100ft away hören.Wenn in a house you are willing to spend so much money and you do not know what you do, they will professionally install and get a preconfigured box. I am of hearing people blame the equipment for their own stupidity and tired / or ignorance. Rating: 5.5
